"The chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the leadership of the regional investigation departments to report on the progress ... of the pre-investigation check on the fact of an accident with an excursion bus in the Leningrad Region," the statement on the website of the Investigative Committee says.
Earlier it was reported that a sightseeing bus with 45 passengers overturned in the Leningrad region.
Investigators said that the preliminary cause of the incident was a driver's mistake while driving the bus in the rain.
