A ticket for space travel with Amazon and Blue Origin CEO Jeff Bezos sold for $28 million, or about 31.26 billion Korean won.
Blue Origin announced on the 12th local time that it was sold at this price as a result of auctioning seats for space travel aboard its first space tourism rocket 'New Shepard' with Bezos on the 12th local time.
New Shepherd will make its first manned space flight on the 20th of next month, carrying Bezos, his brother, Mark, and a successful auctioneer in Texas, USA.
The identity of the winning bidder has not been announced, but it will be revealed in the coming weeks, Blue Origin said.
The auction, which started at $4.8 million, crossed the $20 million mark in four minutes and closed in seven minutes as more than 7,600 people from 159 countries entered the race.
