　　This is the first time that Chinese astronauts will go to space after the Shenzhou 11 mission in 2016. It is also the 7th manned space mission carried out by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade since its establishment in 1998.

In May 2018, the selection of the third batch of preliminary astronauts was launched. After three stages of primary selection, re-election, and selection, 18 qualified preliminary astronauts (including 1 female) will be selected in 2020. Eleven astronauts were awarded the honorary titles of "Space Heroes" and "Heroic Astronauts" by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission. The astronaut group was awarded the honorary title of "Heroic Astronauts Group" by the Central Military Commission. One astronaut was awarded the "August 1st Medal". 　　At 21:10 on September 25, 2008, the Shenzhou VII manned spacecraft carried the astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Liu Boming, and Jing Haipeng into space.

At 16:43 on the 27th, Zhai Zhigang was wearing a "Flying" extravehicular space suit independently developed by my country. With the assistance of Liu Boming, he opened the hatch and took the first step for the Chinese in the vast space. During the orbital flight, the astronauts conducted China's first space teaching activities for young people across the country.

　　At 7:30 on October 17, 2016, the astronauts Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong flew into space from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on the Shenzhou 11 spacecraft under the support of the Long March 2 F carrier rocket, and joined the Tiangong 2 spacecraft. The space laboratory successfully carried out automatic rendezvous and docking.
