When stricter restrictions were introduced in the country, many in the restaurant industry chose to change careers and now it is difficult for restaurateurs to find experienced staff.

- They have switched to healthcare, perhaps grocery stores and other industries that had greater staffing needs during the pandemic, says Peter Hammarström who runs a restaurant in Falkenberg.

In addition to the usual site banks, the innkeepers also take the help of social media to recruit.

And it is mainly chefs and waiters that the restaurants lack for the summer.
