Sudanese position
In the meantime, Sudanese Foreign Minister Maryam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi reiterated the importance of reaching a legal and binding agreement on the rules for filling and operating the Renaissance Dam, "because of this direct link to important and vital interests of Sudan," according to a statement issued by her ministry after her meeting with the Head of the Union Commission.
