The spokesman said that "an integrated file was also deposited with the Security Council on the issue of the Renaissance Dam and Egypt's vision regarding it, in order to serve as a reference for the international community on this issue," and considered that this file documents "the constructive and responsible positions taken by Egypt over a whole decade of negotiations." .

Sudanese position

In the meantime, Sudanese Foreign Minister Maryam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi reiterated the importance of reaching a legal and binding agreement on the rules for filling and operating the Renaissance Dam, "because of this direct link to important and vital interests of Sudan," according to a statement issued by her ministry after her meeting with the Head of the Union Commission.
