Hundreds of young revelers gathered on Saturday evening on the Esplanade des Invalides in Paris for the second consecutive evening.

Police intervened to disperse the crowd more than an hour before the curfew.

Three people were arrested, announced the police headquarters on Twitter.

"There were hundreds and hundreds of young people dancing, full of pregnant." This is how one of the participants in the party for which the police intervened on Saturday evening, more than an hour before the curfew established because of the Covid, on the Esplanade des Invalides in Paris. The police dispersed hundreds of young revelers gathered for the second consecutive evening on the scene, noted an AFP journalist. The police, intervened for "non-compliance with health rules", were the "target of projectiles," said the police headquarters on Twitter.

According to images posted on social networks, a private car was surrounded by a crowd of young people and degraded.

The police headquarters announced on Twitter that three people had been arrested at 11 p.m.

On the spot, Europe 1 noted that the barrier gestures were not scrupulously respected.

"I did not put on a mask for the evening," said a young party animal into our microphone.

"It's not so much to piss off the police ... It's rather to try to have this adrenaline that we do not necessarily have every day", confided another.

"It replaces festivals"

At the time of the start of the curfew, only small clusters of young people remained in place, who gradually left while the esplanade was surrounded by police trucks. Violette, 16, recounted coming from Hauts-de-Seine with her friends, for a new Project X party (named after a 2012 American film centered on a youth party going wrong) in which the party attended, according to she, more than 1,000 young people. "I came because last year it was really not bad, it replaces the festivals. But (...) this (Saturday) evening, it really came to an end," she lamented, assuring that " at 9:30 p.m. the police had already started to intervene ".

Attracted by the messages posted on social networks, Cédric, 17, came with several friends from the 15th arrondissement to celebrate with music, "especially rap": "we had the baccalaureate this year, we need to relax a little ", he pleaded, while deploring the fact that there were" lots of projectile throws at the 'cops' ". "On social networks, everyone shared and we all came," confirmed another participant at the microphone of Europe 1.

Friday evening between 1,500 and 2,000 young people had already gathered on the huge lawn of the Invalides, after the announcement on the networks of a "Project X" evening.

The police intervened around 11 p.m. and had already been the target of projectiles, according to a police source.

There had been no arrests or injuries on Friday evening.
