Brazilian president fined for not wearing a mask


Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been

fined again for not wearing

a mask during an event.

His son and Member of Parliament Eduardo Bolsonaro and Minister Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas of Infrastructure also received a voucher of 555.71 reais (about 90 euros), Brazilian newspaper

The trio had no mask on during a motorcycle rally in São Paulo where thousands of Bolsonaro supporters were present.



The governor of the state of São Paulo, João Doria, is one of the current president's rivals and a possible opponent in the 2022 elections. During a speech in Ibirapuera Park, Bolsonaro, who downplayed the corona virus from the start, once again spoke out against the use of mouth caps and other corona measures.



More than three weeks earlier, Bolsonaro was also fined for not wearing a mask at an event.
