The introduction of a "long weekend" in Moscow will not affect the calendar of the schoolchildren taking the Unified State Exam, as well as the work of medical institutions and kindergartens.

Anastasia Rakova, deputy mayor of the capital for social development, said this.

“From June 15 to June 19, all city polyclinics, hospitals, medical institutions, as well as kindergartens will continue their work as usual.

The USE campaign will also continue.

City institutions of additional education will temporarily suspend their activities, ”said Rakova.

Also, the work will be continued by enterprises of a continuous cycle - companies that provide the population with food and essential goods, pharmacies, as well as organizations that carry out urgent repair work and provide financial services.

Rakova also called on the metropolitan organizations to transfer as many workers as possible who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19, primarily the elderly and citizens with chronic diseases who have not yet been vaccinated, to remote locations.

“The introduction of the access regime, as well as the increase in fines for violation of the mask and glove regime, is not discussed or planned in Moscow,” Rakova assured.

According to her, in order for life in Moscow to return to normal, it is necessary that the townspeople fulfill a number of conditions during the "long weekend".

“Firstly, it is best to minimize all contacts, try to refuse to attend mass events and public places, spend time at home, with loved ones.

Non-working days have been extended solely to try to stop the spread of the infection.

Secondly, the need to vaccinate is now especially critical.

If you haven't already, then schedule a vaccination trip this weekend.

Vaccinations can be obtained in clinics, shopping centers, parks, ”said the deputy mayor of the capital.

Anastasia Rakova cited statistics according to which the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 increased by 70% over the past week, the number of hospitalizations and the number of patients on ventilators increased by 30%.

In addition, over the past two months, the proportion of people aged 18 to 35 with coronavirus infection has increased by 35%.

In this regard, according to Rakova, the Moscow authorities continue to deploy additional beds for patients with coronavirus - now there are about 14 thousand of them, of which 78% are filled.

“In addition, we made a decision that on Tuesday, GKB No. 15 named after

O. M.

Filatov, which will increase the total fund by another two thousand beds.

Also, in the coming days, we will repurpose five more polyclinics for the diagnosis of coronavirus infection, thus, by the middle of the week, the number of CT centers will reach 30, ”Rakova said.

In addition, the press service of the Moscow Mayor's Office reported that control over compliance with anti-coronavirus restrictions is being strengthened in the capital.

“The control over the fulfillment of requirements will definitely be strengthened.

Earlier, we have strengthened control over the wearing of masks and gloves in public places and in transport, as well as over the compliance with sanitary requirements by enterprises and organizations.

Today we are talking about the fact that from June 13, additional restrictions will begin to work, and control over them will also be established, ”RIA Novosti quotes the text of the message.

On Saturday, June 12, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that in the Russian capital, due to the "dramatically aggravated" situation with COVID-19, a non-working day regime was introduced in the period from June 15 to June 19 with the preservation of wages.

Thus, residents of the capital are expected to have a "long weekend" lasting nine days - from 12 to 20 June.

At the same time, children's playrooms and food courts in the shopping center are temporarily closed in the city, and the night work of catering establishments and various entertainment establishments is suspended.

“We need to be more actively vaccinated.

Until we provide a truly massive vaccination, the city will be in constant fever.

All vaccination points will work on weekends, come, ”Sobyanin said.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the decision of the Moscow authorities, said that "the heads of the regions are exercising their special powers."

“There are currently no decisions on the federal level,” added Peskov, quoted by RIA Novosti.

At the same time, the director of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, Alexander Gintsburg, indicated that about 10 thousand people are vaccinated against coronavirus in Moscow every day.

In turn, the head of the Moscow department of trade and services, Aleksey Nemeryuk, called the return of a number of restrictions a forced measure that does not affect most catering establishments.

“This is done because there is an increase in the incidence of diseases, and the highest growth rates are among young people who are lovers of nightlife.

To prevent this, this measure is introduced.

Food courts in shopping centers are also being closed, because there is a large number of visitors, and most often they are young people, "RIA Novosti quotes him.
