This is what the Port of Gävle's new super cranes look like - a new landmark in place

- Finally, very exciting, says a satisfied Fredrik Svanbom, CEO of Gävle Hamn AB.

Today, the port of Gävle can receive ships that load 13 containers in width.

But with the new electric cranes, it will be possible to receive larger vessels that load up to 22 containers in width.

So the new cranes are an important part of the investment that Yliport Nordic and Gävle Hamn AB have made to expand the container terminal, which will be twice as large.

- In total, it is an investment of over a billion so it is a large investment, but it will also be seen over a very long period of time, says Fredrik Svanbom.
