Tunisian President Kais Saied warned that the situation in Tunisia is very dangerous, and said that he would work to implement the constitution literally, accusing what he described as "lobbyists" working behind the scenes in their favour, and fabricating crises in order to stay in power.

Saeed said - during his meeting with the Prime Minister in charge of running the Ministry of the Interior Hisham Al-Mashishi and the Acting Minister of Justice Hasna bin Suleiman - that "there is no room to exploit any position to turn it into a center of power or pressure to strike our unity."

Said added that "Tunisia is going through a very dangerous situation that it has not gone through before, and it predicts greater risks as a result of the rule of a number of lobbies working behind the scenes and changing their positions based on their interests."

Qais Said's statements come after an incident of dragging and stripping of his clothes by security forces in the suburb of Sidi Hussein in the capital, Tunis.

Said added, "I know who is moving the street and who is creating crises to stay in power, and to know that Tunisia is not a commodity, and that laws must be applied to everyone."

He expressed his deep dissatisfaction and strong condemnation of what is happening these days in Tunisia, stressing that "no one is above the law, and there is no room for any treatment based on discrimination based on wealth or political alliances."

Saeed reviewed - according to what was stated in a video clip published by the Presidency on its official page - the abuses that took place in the recent period, including "a young man (in the Sidi Hussein area) was dragged by security forces, and a group of workers turned to the headquarters of (Shams FM) radio station. It was violated, and a number of deputies moved to the headquarters of a court (representatives from Qalb Tounes and Ennahda in connection with the case of Nabil Karoui), considering all of this a “conspiracy” and unacceptable matters, “and called on the Public Prosecution to take immediate action to implement the law.”

The President of the Republic described the situation as "very dangerous," saying, "I will not allow anyone to strike the state and its institutions," adding that "there should not be hidden behind the measures to not lift the immunity of the people's representatives."

President Saeed stressed the need to direct demands to lift immunity to the Parliament so that each one bears his responsibility, noting that immunity was provided by law to ensure independence in carrying out the job he performs and not to fortify it outside this framework, according to the statement.

He called on the Acting Minister of Justice, Hasnaa Benslimane, to play the role entrusted to her by law in raising public cases.
