• Events Nuria's tragedy: she bled to death in the operating room, the judge disavows her autopsy and her family has not been able to bury her for 10 days

The Hospital del Henares, in Coslada, faces

another death complaint for alleged medical negligence.

After the case of Nuria, a 35-year-old woman who bled to death in a kidney operation on May 28, now another possible error has been known in the center investigating the court number 5 of Coslada.

On January 31, Emilio Díaz, 39, lost his life in the same hospital after spending 10 hours of agony in the emergency room.

His family assures that he arrived with very high blood pressure and severe pain that was not treated until he suffered a syncope and his heart stopped beating.

Days later it was determined that he

had died of an aortic aneurysm and they believe that there was malpractice on the part of the doctor who treated him.

“What they did with my brother was

crazy and inhuman.

It was not given a chance.

If as soon as he entered the emergency room, they had diagnosed the ailment, they could have operated on him, ”says his sister Vanesa, a 42-year-old health worker.

The early morning of his death, the hospital offered to perform a clinical autopsy on Emilio to find out the cause of his sudden death.

His parents and sister accepted.

They signed the consent just as Nuria's family did without knowing what awaited them.

They ended up denouncing the hospital, since it did not give them the body, and demanded a judicial autopsy.

When they gave Emilio's body, they had emptied him from the inside, put his organs in formaldehyde, and a forensic's test was impossible.

It took eight days to bury him.

Emilio worked as a warehouse waiter and was passionate about sports.

He was separated and had three children.

His only physical problem was that he suffered from hypertension.

On Friday, January 29, he began to feel bad.

He had a tightness in his chest.

The next day he woke up with great chest and abdominal pain.

The discomfort did not stop and, accompanied by his mother, he went to the emergency room at Hospital del Henares.

He arrived at 2:00 p.m.

“They did

the typical

triage

to determine if his case was serious

and he already had a blood pressure of 19.8.

The doctor sent him to the waiting room and they carried out an electrocardiogram and a blood test throughout the afternoon, ”says Vanesa.

The man was still in great pain.

“He complained a lot and

went several times to ask for something because he couldn't take it anymore.

He would not stop moving.

They only gave him a pill to lower his blood pressure and they never monitored him while he was in the non-Covid ER waiting room.

At 10:30 p.m. they finally did a chest X-ray, Vanesa continues.

The family later found out that the radiologist had already seen

an aortic elongation

there

that they suspect the doctor did not see

.

At 11:30 p.m. they told him to go into the emergency room and an hour later, Emilio collapsed in a waiting room.

"He had a syncope and they could no longer revive him despite the fact that they went down to internists from the ICU."

Her sister remembers that that night her mother called her to tell her that Emilio was very ill.

Upon entering the hospital, a doctor told Vanesa that her brother was "on hold."

«The doctor who had treated him came and told me: '

These are things that happen

'.

And I replied that my brother had been asking for 10 hours for help without being assisted, "continues his sister.

“At two in the morning on Sunday they told us of his death and that they did not know the causes.

Out of ignorance we agreed to a clinical autopsy.

I thought it was a proper autopsy and when all Sunday passes and there is no news from the hospital, I went to file a complaint

at the Coslada National Police station, "he adds.

Emilio, the man who died in the emergency room at the Hospital de Coslada.

The outrage in the family increased when on Tuesday they found out that all his organs had been removed and put in formaldehyde.

There was no way to do a second autopsy, although the coroner saw a series of anomalies and sent my brother's organs to Toxicology.

What the Coslada hospital does with the deceased is incredible.

They deceive you with the clinical autopsy and thus they act in their favor, ”says Vanesa.

The family reported to the center and the court investigated the facts.

The relatives have obtained the testimony of several people who support how "Emilio suffered in the emergency room"

, they already have the recordings of the hospital security cameras and have commissioned an expert report to try to prove that the patient was abandoned.

On May 28, another family from Coslada suffered something similar.

Nuria died in a kidney operation in the operating room of the same hospital.

They also emptied her inside and put her organs in formaldehyde without the coroner being able to do a judicial autopsy.

It took two weeks to bury her and the family has denounced the center for negligence.

The hospital, since both cases are being prosecuted, does not pronounce itself.
