A 35-year-old man has been
arrested
in Marmolejo in connection with the death of his partner, after
he alerted himself that he had suffered an accident.
The events have occurred, according to sources of the investigation, on a rural road located about 200 meters from the Municipal Cemetery, around 3:30 am today, at which time the detainee requested an ambulance for a woman who had been run over.
The health services found the 36-year-old woman from Huelva, already deceased and with signs of having been run over.
The Civil Guard has detained the man, from Marmolejo, until the autopsy is carried out and it is clarified how the events occurred, since they are working both with the hypothesis that it
was an accident and a case of sexist violence.
While the man is in custody, the woman's body has been taken to the Forensic Anatomical Institute of Jaén for an autopsy.
