June 10 is the 100th birthday of the late husband of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Buckingham Palace stated that the queen was presented with a rose in the name of her late husband to commemorate her husband's 100th birthday.

Buckingham Palace stated that the roses that the Queen received last week were newly cultivated varieties with a deep pink appearance. They were named after the Duke of Edinburgh and were of special commemorative significance.

This rose was then planted in the East Balcony Garden of Windsor Castle in the western suburbs of London.

Since the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, the queen has mostly stayed at Windsor Castle, where Prince Philip died.

The President of the Royal Horticultural Society Wade said that although it is extremely sad, he is still very happy to present the Duke of Edinburgh rose to Her Majesty the Queen to commemorate the 100th birthday of Prince Philip and his extraordinary life.

According to the report, the royalties from the sale of each rose will go to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Living Heritage Fund to provide assistance to young people who need support.

The foundation established by Prince Philip is now operating in more than 130 countries and regions around the world.

In April 2021, Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, passed away, only two months before his 100th birthday.
