The spread of infection is slowly declining in Östergötland and fewer covid 19 patients need medical care.
But the burden on healthcare remains high.

The vaccination is rolling on at a good pace, says Britt Åkerlind.
Right now, everyone between the ages of 45-49 is offered their first dose and so far, over 200,000 East Goths have received their first injection.
Thus, half of all people in the county who are over 18 are vaccinated.
- We have come over the magic 50 percent limit, says Britt Åkerlind.
According to the region's forecast, vaccine supply will remain high during the summer.
- If everything goes as it should, all East Goths, over 18 years, will be fully vaccinated at the end of the summer.
