At the same time, there were public reports and media exposure. On May 30, another roof accident occurred in Zhenghong Kanghui (Xinmi) Coal Industry Co., Ltd. in Henan Province, causing 3 deaths and 3 injuries.
Both accidents were suspected of being under-reported, and they were verified by the local government after being reported by the public and exposed by the media.
Zhang Xin said that after receiving the reports of these two accidents, the Ministry of Emergency Management of China and the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau attached great importance to them and requested the Henan Coal Mine Safety Supervision Bureau to raise the level of investigation, further verify the number of people, find out the reasons, and be held accountable in accordance with the law.
At present, the two accidents are now led by the provincial coal mine safety supervision bureau dispatched by the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau in Henan, and an accident investigation team has been established to conduct accident investigations.
