Hospital pressure continues to decline on Friday, according to official figures.

There are now less than 13,000 hospitalizations in France, 2,163 serious cases in intensive care, and more than 110,300 deaths.

At the same time, the threshold of 30 million first-time vaccinated has almost been crossed.

The pressure on the hospital continues to decrease, the number of people hospitalized for Covid-19 dropping back below 13,000, to the lowest since the end of October, according to data released Friday by Public Health France.

The health agency listed 12,712 people hospitalized against 13,090 the day before, with 313 admissions over the last 24 hours.

The number of people currently in critical care, who are treating the most serious cases, is 2,163 against 2,245 patients on Thursday.

66 people were admitted to these services in 24 hours.

Coronavirus: follow the evolution of the situation Friday, June 11

More than 110,300 dead in France

The outbreak has killed 69 people in hospital in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths since the outbreak began in March 2020 to 83,910 in hospital and more than 110,300 in total.

The improvement in the situation is mainly due to the acceleration of vaccination.

Almost 30 million first-time vaccinated

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in France, 29,831,488 people have received at least one injection and 13,722,706 people have received two injections. This represents respectively 56.8% and 26.1% of the adult population. The government's target of 30 million first-time vaccines (57% of the adult population) should therefore be reached before the deadline of June 15.

15,405,347 people have a complete vaccination schedule, says the Ministry of Health.
