A 21-year-old man is charged with fraud against twelve people, all between 82 and 95 years old when the crimes occurred.

- Three of them have died.

Some have been demented and you may have heard and seen poorly.

It is obvious that they have targeted old people, says prosecutor Maria Edström.

The crimes are said to have occurred in Eskilstuna, Västerås, Södertälje and Stockholm last year.

Another man, 29 years old and living in Eskilstuna, has already been sentenced to three years in prison for the same crime.

Maria Edström assesses the evidentiary situation against the 21-year-old as good.

- It is thanks to the police's circa group in Gothenburg, which focuses on crimes against the elderly.

They have done a fantastic job.

It is important that we investigate these crimes that our elderly are exposed to, and that this leads to prosecution and, hopefully, prosecutions.

The accused man denies the crime.
