　　The 29th meeting of the 13th National People's Congress Standing Committee voted on the 10th to pass the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China.

As a special legislation in foreign-related fields, the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law has enriched and enriched my country’s legal “toolbox” for coping with challenges and preventing risks, providing a powerful legal guarantee for countering foreign discriminatory measures in accordance with the law, and better safeguarding my country National sovereignty, security, and development interests lay a solid legal foundation.

　　For some time, some Western countries, out of political manipulation needs and ideological prejudice, have used various excuses such as Xinjiang and Hong Kong to spread rumors, slander, contain and suppress China, especially in violation of international law and the basic norms of international relations. The so-called "sanctions" imposed by domestic laws on China's relevant state agencies, organizations and state personnel have aroused strong indignation from people from all walks of life, and have also been widely opposed by the international community.

　　Faced with this hegemonic act of grossly interfering in China's internal affairs, on the one hand, the Chinese government firmly opposes it and has repeatedly announced corresponding countermeasures against entities and individuals in relevant countries.

On the other hand, in order to better safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests, and oppose hegemonism and power politics, it is imperative to formulate a special law.

　　The enactment of the anti-foreign sanctions law is just a legitimate act of "returning to the human body". It has sufficient necessity and justice. It conforms to the principles, regulations and spirit of my country's constitution as well as international laws and regulations. International rules occupy the commanding heights of jurisprudence and morality.

This law was formulated to oppose sanctions, interference, and long-arm jurisdiction, and to maintain fairness and justice. This is fundamentally different from the consistent international bullying practices of individual Western countries.

　　The formulation of anti-foreign sanctions laws will help promote the formation of a comprehensive foreign-related legal and regulatory system.

In recent years, the efficiency and quality of my country’s legislation in foreign-related fields has been continuously improved. The formulation, amendment and implementation of a series of laws have not only demonstrated China’s sincerity and determination to further optimize the business environment and expand opening up, but also clearly draw a “red line”. -If anyone holds the sanctions stick in their hands, attempts to slander and smear China, or interfere in China's internal affairs, China will never agree to it and will resolutely counteract it in accordance with laws and regulations.
