There are small movements in public opinion support between the parties right now.

No change in SVT / Novus' voter survey for the month of June is statistically significant.

The Social Democrats are still the largest party, followed by the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats.

Both the Christian Democrats and the Green Party are above the four percent barrier, but for the Liberals it looks tougher.

The party has a voter support of 2.3 percent.

Big differences

If you look more closely at the figures, you see a big difference between which parties are most popular among women and men.

- Among men, it stands in principle and weighs between the Sweden Democrats and the Moderates.

There are such small differences that it is within the margin of error.

Among women, the Social Democrats are the strongest party, says Torbjörn Sjöström, CEO of Novus.

Who votes for which party?

Here is a summary of the latest Novus survey

The Sweden Democrats' party secretary Richard Jomshof believes that his party is still mainly associated with issues that to a greater extent attract male voters.

- I can imagine that men in general may value immigration and criminal policy a little harder and set the questions a little higher than what many women do, he says.

Changed over time

The Social Democrats are still the largest party among the oldest voters.

But the Sweden Democrats are the party that attracts the most men between 50-64 years.

- Previously, we were used to the Social Democrats being the absolutely dominant party when it comes to 50 plus.

But it is not so anymore.

The Sweden Democrats have taken quite a lot of positions there recently, says Torbjörn Sjöström at Novus.

The Social Democrats comment on this development in a written response from party secretary Lena Rådström Baastad:

"As we get older, issues such as pensions and care for the elderly become increasingly central in the political debate and this is also where we make major investments."

Richard Jomshof believes that one explanation for the fact that more middle-aged men today sympathize with the Sweden Democrats is that those who have followed the party over time have simply become older.

- Many voters may have grown up with us.

I myself have been with the party for more than 20 years, and have been in the Riksdag since 2010. Many voters have probably been with the whole journey, he says.
