The pressure on the hospital continues to drop, according to the latest data released Thursday by Public Health France.

A little more than 13,000 people are still hospitalized because of Covid-19 in French hospitals and around 2,200 are in critical care, but the increasingly widespread vaccination favors the decline.

The pressure on the hospital continues to decrease, the number of people hospitalized because of the Covid being at the lowest since the end of October, according to data released Thursday by Public Health France.

The number of people currently in critical care who are treating the most serious cases is 2,245 compared to 2,326 patients on Wednesday.

This figure is at the lowest since October 22.

74 people were admitted to critical care in 24 hours.

The health agency listed 13,090 people hospitalized against 13,526 the day before, with 297 new admissions.

The impact of vaccination

This decrease is in particular due to the acceleration of vaccination.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in France, 29,444,218 people have received at least one injection and 13,369,751 people have received two injections.

This represents respectively 56.1% and 25.5% of the adult population.
