The G7 Summit, which will be held face-to-face for the first time in two years, will begin on the 11th of Japan time in Cornwall, southwestern England.

It is expected to announce a new "Atlantic Charter" that summarizes the goals for cooperation between the two countries in eight areas, including the protection of principles.



The Atlantic Charter, which served as a model for this charter, was created in 1941 during World War II by then-President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill with eight goals, including the promotion of free trade to build a postwar international order. After that, it led to the establishment of the United Nations.



The new charter, which is expected to be agreed upon, will allow the United States and the United Kingdom, which share the same values, to respond to various issues such as security, recovery from the new coronavirus, cyber attacks and climate change. It means that the content is included.
