The Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission recently jointly issued the "Announcement on the Cancellation and Exemption of Certain Entry and Exit Document Fees" (Announcement No. 22 of 2021 of the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission, hereinafter referred to as the "Announcement" "), the "Announcement" mentioned that the charge for refilling ordinary passports will be cancelled.

  The content of the announcement is as follows:

  1. Cancel the refill charge for ordinary passports.

  2. Exemption from the entry and exit pass charges of the People's Republic of China for Hong Kong and Macao mobile fishing boats, Mainland fishermen, Zhuhai-Macao small-scale trade personnel and Shenzhen transit farming personnel.

  The inland fishermen from Hong Kong and Macao mobile fishing vessels mentioned in the preceding paragraph refer to the inland fishermen employed by Hong Kong and Macao mobile fishing vessels registered by the inland fisherman authorities of Hong Kong and Macao mobile fishing vessels and who need to enter the designated areas of Hong Kong and Macao to operate.

  The Zhuhai-Macau small-value trader refers to the residents of Zhuhai border villages and towns adjacent to Macau who have been registered by the competent department of Zhuhai Municipal Government and went to Macau to engage in specific small-value trade.

  Transit cultivators in Shenzhen refer to villagers from the original natural villages in Shenzhen who have gone to the designated areas of Hong Kong to engage in farming and production operations and have been filed by the competent department of the Shenzhen Municipal Government.

  3. This announcement shall be implemented from June 10, 2021.
