Naryshkin recalled that a new leadership has come to the United States and President Joe Biden.

“He appointed Mr. Burns, a very authoritative foreign affairs officer, a person who knows this matter, as director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

He, apparently, is included in the scope of his duties, gets acquainted with the affairs.

I hope that sooner or later our meeting will take place, ”Naryshkin told TASS.

In March, US Vice President Kamala Harris sworn in as new CIA Director William Burns.

Burns joined the Foreign Service in 1982.

He served as Chief Assistant to the Secretaries of State Warren Christopher and Madeleine Albright.

From 1998 to 2001 he served as the US Ambassador to Jordan, from 2001 to 2005 he was Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs, and from 2005 to 2008 he served as the US Ambassador to Russia.
