Baldini leaves Fiorello and Radio1: "For personal problems I am no longer reliable"

Rome 15 November 2014 A few days ago the breakup of the artistic soldier with Fiorello which aroused great calm. Today Marco Baldini confesses and in Corriera della Sera he tells the reasons for his choice: "I had no choice, I don't have to and I can't go and do the program. I'm not able to take on a demanding role, but above all I would put people at risk. ". Explains the radio host who reveals that he receives at least 150 threatening calls a day from his former creditors but he assures that he has stopped gambling since 2008.
In the interview he recounts his life in recent years: Baldini sleeps in a friend's room. He works two hours a day. For the rest he lives hunted: "I would have to work a lot to be able to pay my debts, but I am not in a position to work". He has a great concern, that of not involving his friend Fiorello: "Because they could get there and make a terrible place." Fuoriprogramma "is not recorded in a studio, but in a bar in the middle of the street. Too dangerous". But who are these who threaten them? "They are not bandits, they are exasperated people who want their money back. I get 150 phone calls a day, they call me, they are on me. I can't work anymore."
But why does the tenant still have all these debts? Baldini explains that in 2011, he was not working: "For two years I was stopped because Fiorello was stopped. And there the debts increased because I had no income. Now I can no longer cope with everything". But there is one regret: "It was April 1991. I had 40 million (of lire) in debt. Valerio, a friend of Cecchetto's, lent them to me. I used half them for debt, half I gambled. From there the whole tragedy was born. That is the snowball that became an avalanche. The biggest mistake of my life ".
