JBS paid $ 11 million to hackers who attacked it

"JBS USA today confirmed that it paid the equivalent of $ 11 million in ransom in response to the hack," the corporation's press office said.

“This decision had to be made to prevent any potential risk to our customers,” said JBS USA CEO André Nogueira, noting the difficulty of making this decision.

Previously, almost all of JBS Food's beef factories were closed due to a cyberattack.
