10 June 2021 Again bad news for Roberto Mancini's national team. The FIGC asked UEFA for the possibility of replacing the player Lorenzo Pellegrini who suffered an injury during yesterday's training. Subjected to diagnostic tests this morning, the Roma midfielder will still remain in the national team that will move to Rome this morning.

Pellegrini at this point could not take part in Euro 2021 due to a muscle strain in the thigh flexor muscle that could knock him out for the entire event.

As a precaution and awaiting feedback from Uefa, midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli will join the group in Rome.

The Italian national team, after having lost Stefano Sensi and with Marco Verratti still in doubt, could therefore lose another pawn in midfield.
