Palestinian media said that the occupation forces withdrew from Jenin after the armed clash near the intelligence headquarters on Nazareth Street.

Eyewitnesses reported that, upon their withdrawal, the occupation forces pushed reinforcements towards the northern entrance to Jenin, while armed Palestinian elements of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) deployed in different areas of the city.

Video clips, broadcast by activists on social media, showed the first moment of the clashes.

In its first reaction to today's clashes, a spokesman for the Fatah movement said that the Palestinian security forces' response to the Israeli occupation forces is a natural response and self-defense.

The spokesman added that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to flood the Palestinian territories with blood before leaving office.
