From Monday to Friday in Media Culture, Eva Roque gives you her TV tips for the evening.

This Thursday, she offers us two documentaries devoted to the defense of animals.

The pangolin is on France 2 in "Special Envoy" at 9:05 pm and the sharks will not scare you on Ushuaïa TV at 8:45 pm in the documentary "Sharkwater Extinction".

What do the evening programs look like?

To an animal defense operation, through two documentaries.

The first is a subject broadcast in "Special Envoy" on France 2 and devoted to this animal of which many of us were unaware of the existence until last year: the pangolin.

Journalists have gone on his trail from Africa where he is hunted for his meat to Asia where the animal has almost disappeared.

However in China or Vietnam, the scales of the pangolin are highly sought after for so-called completely unfounded medical virtues.

Whatever, there is a market for it, and mafias who organize it all.

Like in this Vietnamese market.

Edifying report.

That leaves us feeling helpless.

How to avoid this hunt?

How to ensure that this species does not disappear?

These are the same questions that animated filmmaker and diver Rob Stewart.

He chose to defend the sharks.

Endangered species there again, in particular because men hunt them to tear off their fins.

From Panama to China, it's always the same scenario: mafias, illegal trafficking and soaring prices.

Rob Stewart therefore chose to track down these hunters by bringing back as much evidence as possible of the mistreatment imposed on animals.

For example, he dives to see the damage caused to marine life by driftnets.

Diving turns out badly.

This is not the first time that Rob Stewart has received death threats.

But it is his life, his fight.

Yet at the bend of this film shot in 2016, he evokes the concern of his parents.

A poignant documentary, punctuated by sublime images of Rob Stewart dancing with sharks, cuddling them.

It is of immense beauty.

To sum up :
