　　Qinghai is named after Qinghai Lake.

The "Pearl of the Plateau" Qinghai Lake is rippling with blue waves and flocks of gulls and birds.

It is the largest saltwater lake in our country, and it is also an important breeding ground for waterbirds and the main node of migratory passages.

　　Qinghai is the region with the most major rivers in Eurasia. The Yellow River, Yangtze River and Lancang River originate from Qinghai. More than 60 billion cubic meters of clean water flows from here every year, which is equivalent to twice the storage capacity of the Three Gorges Reservoir.

　　Qinghai is also the area with the highest concentration of biodiversity in high-altitude areas in the world, with rare animals and plants such as snow leopards, Tibetan antelopes, cordyceps, and snow lotus.

National

parks Qinghai experience

　　The national park system is an important content and system innovation of my country's ecological civilization construction.

The Sanjiangyuan National Park is my country's first national park system pilot.

At present, Qinghai has completed the pilot tasks of the Sanjiangyuan National Park and Qilianshan National Park (Qinghai Area), and officially launched the establishment of the park.

The preliminary work of Qinghai Lake and Kunlun Mountain National Parks has been basically completed, and a new nature reserve system with national parks as the main body has basically taken shape.

　　In the national park system pilot project, Qinghai has realized the ecological environment, land and space control and unified law enforcement of natural resources, broke the situation of "Jiulong Water Control", and also provided experience and models for the construction of national parks across the country.

　　Through national park trials, Qinghai’s ecological environment has been significantly improved, and the population of wild animals has increased significantly.

The number of Tibetan antelopes recovered from less than 20,000 in the 1980s to more than 70,000.

At the foot of the snow-capped mountains, green grass is shaded, Tibetan antelopes migrate in groups, snow leopards are waiting for opportunities to hunt, bar-headed geese leisurely foraging for food, and water birds and fish live in harmony.

During the National Two Sessions this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping once again participated in the deliberation of the Qinghai delegation.

He pointed out that Qinghai must undertake the major mission of maintaining ecological security, protecting the source of the Three Rivers, and protecting the "Chinese Water Tower", and is responsible to the country, the nation, and future generations.

He emphasized that Qinghai should take the lead in establishing a natural reserve system with national parks as the main body, so that green waters and green mountains will always become Qinghai's advantage and pride, benefiting the people and the children and grandchildren.
