“I am not crying here.

On the first day I met a girl, she then literally did not let me freeze.

Later she told me that I will remember the first letter for the rest of my life.

And I was right: I will remember every line, every sentence, I will remember this feeling, ”says Sapieha's letter to RT.

According to her, she cried in the pre-trial detention center the only time - when she received letters from relatives.

Sophia also said that she had finished reading "Crime and Punishment": "St. Petersburg madness in its purest form."

Earlier, Sapega's mother Anna Dudich told RT that for the first time she received a letter from her daughter.

Russian citizen Sophia Sapega was detained in Minsk on May 23.

She flew on a Ryanair plane with Roman Protasevich, the founder of the NEXTA Telegram channel recognized as extremist in Belarus.

The Russian woman is suspected of committing crimes in the period from August to September 2020, provided for by several articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that the investigation into the Protasevich and Sapieha cases will be conducted in Belarus.
