- It is above all in Karlstad, Hammarö and Kil that the infection increases sharply, and where we found the mutation, says infection control doctor Ingemar Hallén at a hastily convened digital press conference.
New recommendations
The sharply increased spread of infection means that Region Värmland is now once again introducing local recommendations for the county.
This applies above all to sports activities, camps and colonial activities for children and young people who are paused.
- You should avoid mixing groups that do not train together in normal cases, and matches and competitions should be held on a small scale in your own municipality or possibly in the neighboring municipality, says Ingemar Hallén.
The new recommendations apply from Friday to 27/6.
The call from Infection Control
Infection control Värmland also directs all adults to take both of the vaccine doses offered against covid-19.
- The first dose does not provide adequate protection against the delta mutation, as it does against the other virus variants.
It is only after two doses that you are protected.
