The pair of revolutionary couples were named Li Zengling and Zhou Fenglan, and they both had more than 70 years of party standing.

Elder Li Zengling introduced that he was originally from Shandong and his family suffered from Japanese aggression. After his father died, his mother sent him to join the army.
Like Li Zengling, Zhou Fenglan joined the People's Liberation Army on the second day of the liberation of Xiangyang.
Because he studied medicine, he was placed in the medical group.
After the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea started, Li Zengling and Zhou Fenglan were sent to the Korean battlefield at the same time.
Elder Li Zengling said that for decades, they have repeatedly told their children about the wars they have experienced in the past. The purpose is to tell future generations that we must not forget the history and the hard-won life of our peaceful life today.
