The assassination attempt occurred at 12.20 on a Saturday and many people were in motion at the center of Pettersberg.

This led to the police coming into contact with several people who had seen the man walking between an apartment, pizzeria and the crime scene.

He was also caught on surveillance camera from a bus.

Further technical analyzes from the man's mobile phone could confirm that he moved like the perpetrator in the film, and in the way the witnesses described.

The 19-year-old denies the allegations and the police could never find the knife he is believed to have used during the attack.

Despite some gaps in the investigation, he is now sentenced to six years in prison.

Which, according to the court, is mainly due to the number of credible stories from witnesses which have also been reinforced by the technical analysis.

The evidence also pierces the 19-year-old's version of events, which makes him appear unreliable.

He says, among other things, that he, on the day in question, was out walking with a girl, something that is denied by several witnesses.

Why the 19-year-old attacked the man is still unclear, but the district court writes in its judgment that the attempted murder "has been committed apparently completely unprovoked against an unknown man."

In addition to the prison sentence, the man must pay damages of SEK 136,357 to the victim.
