China News Service, June 7th. According to Korean media reports, recently, the suspected case of a female officer of the South Korean Air Force committing suicide due to sexual assault has aroused great concern.

The family members of the victims decided on the 7th that the Korean Nationally Elected Lawyer, who served as the defense at the beginning of the prosecution, belonged to the Air Force Legal Affairs Office.

The lawyer for the victim’s family, Kim Jong-hwan, stated that at around 3 pm local time on the 7th, he would submit the indictment of the nationally elected lawyer A to the Prosecutors Team of the Ministry of Defense of the Yongsan District in Seoul on suspicion of negligence.

On March 9, the Air Force designated A, a military legal officer under the Legal Affairs Office of the Air Force Headquarters, as a national lawyer.

At that time, 6 days had passed since the victim Li Mou officially declared the victimization of the sexual assault.

But until Li's death, A did not have an interview with him, only a few calls and SMS exchanges.

The Air Force explained that after A was selected, due to personal reasons such as marriage, honeymoon travel, self-quarantine, etc., the interview could not proceed smoothly.

However, the family argued that after reporting the victim of sexual assault, A actually ignored the victim.

Ms. Lee of the South Korean Air Force’s 20th Combat Flying Regiment reported in March that she had been sexually assaulted by Air Force Sergeant Jang, and then committed suicide on May 22.

Moon Jae-in has instructed investigative agencies to thoroughly investigate the case.

Lee Chenglong, chief of staff of the South Korean Air Force, took the blame and resigned on June 4.

On the 6th, South Korean President Moon Jae-in visited the memorial hall of Deputy Non-commissioned Officer Lee, a victim of the sexual assault, to condolences the deceased and the survivors.

According to the Blue House spokesperson Park Jiong Mi, Moon Jae-in apologized to his survivors and promised to thoroughly investigate the incident.

Moon Jae-in instructed his fellow Defense Minister Xu Xu not only to investigate the matter closely, but also to take this as an opportunity to improve the culture of the barracks.
