From the beginning of January to the beginning of May this year, the applications have been lower than for six years for the corresponding period.

According to Ulrika Anglert Sjöqvist, family counselor and psychotherapist in Västerås, changes in everyday life can be an explanation for why it looks the way it does.

- We have come closer to each other during the pandemic and everyday stress has decreased.

But not everything is just positive.

There may be an upswing afterwards, she says.
