A shocking video has appeared on social media since June 4.

We see a young woman being raped by several men.

It is indignation in Ndjamena that links this video to an ongoing judicial investigation: the alleged gang rape of Meram, 15, by three sons of high-ranking officials.

These images make Chadians react more especially since it is not the first video of this kind to circulate on social networks.

Twenty-two unbearable seconds.

This is the duration of the video of a gang rape widely distributed on Chadian social networks.

We see a young woman in tears being raped by two young turbaned men.

She begs them to stop filming and is insulted.

The violent scene is filmed by an unidentified witness.

Impossible to recognize a precise place or the identity of the young victim.

But for Internet users, it is the video of a legal case already in progress: that of the alleged gang rape of Meram.

The affair caused a stir in Ndjamena, because the three alleged perpetrators, two adults and one minor, are said to be the sons of high-ranking officials.

A judicial investigation is underway for rape and assault and battery.

The public prosecutor, Tom Youssouf, affirms that the suspects are still at the Klessoum remand center.

Their lawyer denounces a media lynching.

They are not my clients on the video

", he says.

The young victim, Meram and her parents have yet to show up for a hearing.

Sources close to the family say an amicable settlement has been reached between the two parties, as often in rape cases in Chad.
