06 June 2021A medium western flow influences the Mediterranean area: from today a weak promontory will give way to unstable fresh air flows arriving from the North Atlantic and to infiltrations of hot-humid air of North African origin.

The result is conditions of marked variability in the Center-North, with thunderstorms that locally may also be very intense.

Tomorrow the atmospheric instability will affect a large part of Italy, in particular the Apennine sectors.



Based on the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection, in agreement with the regions involved - which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the territories concerned - has issued a further warning of adverse weather conditions which integrates and extends the one released yesterday. . From the afternoon of Sunday 6 June, the notice provides for scattered rainfall, also of a downpour or thunderstorm, on Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise, especially on the internal Apennine sectors.



From the morning of Monday 7 June, scattered precipitations are expected, also of a downpour or thunderstorm, on Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Marche. The phenomena will be accompanied by showers of strong intensity, electrical activity and strong gusts of wind.



On the basis of the expected and ongoing phenomena, a yellow alert was assessed for Monday 7 June in Veneto, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia and Basilicata.
