The acting president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, will propose this Tuesday to
the Popular Group
of the
Madrid Assembly
that the acting Minister of the Presidency,
Eugenia Carballedo
, be the new president of the Madrid Parliament, as explained by government sources regional.
The Presidency of the legislature will not finally be for Vox, although the PP will give him a position of those that correspond to him on the
Board of the Chamber
.
This Tuesday the Assembly of Madrid will be constituted after the elections of May 4, starting the XII Legislature, which will last a maximum of two years and in which the
popular
will have 65 of the 136 seats that make up the Chamber.
Carballedo has been until now a member of the Executive presided over by
Isabel Díaz Ayuso
as counselor of the Presidency.
His departure from the Government due to "loss of confidence" was already taken for granted, as EL MUNDO advanced.
Since 2019, the still counselor has been in charge of the Government's relationship with the Madrid Assembly, responding to a total of 23,655 initiatives. Under its coordination, the Decree that regulates and simplifies regulatory processing in the Community of Madrid has been approved, establishing its own procedure that will reduce processing times by almost half, reports Europa Press.
Likewise, "the foundations have been laid to make substantial progress in the digitization of the region" through tools such as the Digital Factory and Digital Innovation Center of the Community of Madrid, Digitaliza Madrid.
With this, the necessary technological tools have been acquired and distributed among public employees and an intense training effort has been carried out so that essential services in the region continue to operate during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Carballedo was born in Madrid, where he graduated in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has completed a year at the University of Leuven (Belgium) with the Erasmus Program within the framework of a Master in Community Law. She has a diploma in Business Consulting from the School of Legal Practice of the Complutense University of Madrid and a diploma in Legal Practice from the Universidad Pontifica Comillas-ICADE.
In the Madrid Assembly, she has had different responsibilities as a deputy since 2011. In fact, in the 2015-2019 legislature she was the first secretary of the Assembly Table.
She has also been spokesperson for the Presidency Commission, spokesperson for the Presidency and Justice Commission, president of the Transport, Housing and Infrastructure Commission, deputy spokesperson for the Study Commission on the audit of indebtedness and public management of the Community of Madrid, and deputy spokesperson for the Justice Commission.
In addition, she was general secretary of the Popular Parliamentary Group and a member of the Board of Spokespersons from 2011 to 2013.
Before her regional career, the next president of the Chamber was a deputy in Congress from 2008 to 2011.
Within the
PP she
has been national secretary of Justice and responsible for parliamentary coordination in matters of Security, Justice and Public Liberties.
In addition, in the Popular Party of Madrid she has been a member of the Management Committee, president of the Legal Committee, secretary of the Rights and Guarantees Committee and president of the Home Affairs Committee.
