Emmanuel Macron will discuss Tuesday in the Drôme with restaurateurs, announced Sunday the Elysee, a second step, after the Lot last week, of the peregrination to meet the country desired by the president.

The Head of State will go to the hotel school in Tain l'Hermitage, then have lunch "with actors of local and national gastronomy" in Valence, a city where the three-star chef Anne-Sophie Pic officiates.

On the eve of the reopening of dining rooms and bars, the president intends to "discuss with restaurateurs and representatives of the entire sector, and promote their know-how after several months of closure, while from this summer the year of gastronomy, at the heart of our art of living and a symbol of French excellence throughout France, ”announced the Elysee in a press release.

It must also discuss "with high school students, apprentices and their supervisors, in order to address the subjects of recruitment, training, and return to employment, when the sector resumes".

Emmanuel Macron had started Wednesday and Thursday in the Lot a "Tour de France" of ten trips that he intends to make in June and July, sometimes over several days.

"From the beginning of June, thanks to the return to a life as normal as possible, I want to resume my pilgrim's staff and go to the territories to take the pulse of the country, to get in touch", he announced to the regional press on April 29.

With this "pilgrimage", as advisers call him, like his "memorial roaming" in the North and East in 2018 and his "Great debate" in 2019, Emmanuel Macron is again trying to establish a personal dialogue, without intermediary, with a country that it knows to be divided.
