Jordan .. The dismissal of Representative Osama Al-Ajarmeh from the House of Representatives

A Jordanian security source announced on Sunday the renewal of "riots" in the Naour area, south of Amman, hours after the dismissal of Representative Osama Al-Ajarmeh from the House of Representatives, and a day after four security personnel were injured in incidents that witnesses attributed to the MP's supporters.

The official Al-Mamlaka channel quoted a security source as saying, "On Sunday evening, riots and shootings are being dealt with by a group of people in Naour (area) in southern Amman.

The source added that "closure points were opened and (there is) a heavy security presence in the vicinity of Naour to prevent any violation of the law and to arrest anyone who tries to break the law."

And the Public Security Directorate announced in a statement at dawn on Sunday that four security personnel were wounded on Saturday evening in “riots” in the Naour area, south of Amman, carried out, according to eyewitnesses, by supporters of Representative Osama Al-Ajarmeh, whose membership had been suspended for a year because of his “insulting the prestige of Parliament".

On Sunday, the House of Representatives voted to separate Ajarma from the House of Representatives, as 108 deputies voted in favor out of a total of 119 who attended the parliament session.

The council voted in a session devoted to discussing the repercussions of Saturday's events.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abdel Moneim Al-Awdat, asked the deputies to vote standing, as 108 deputies out of a total of 119 deputies who attended the session voted for the Ajarmah dismissal.

Al-Awdat said in a speech at the beginning of the session that the convening of this emergency session comes based on “a request submitted by the parliamentary majority in accordance with the memorandum signed by the deputies to consider the repercussions and recent events.”

According to the constitution, the deputy is separated from the membership of the House of Representatives by a decision of the House to which he is affiliated and by a two-thirds majority of the members of the House, which consists of 130 deputies.
