06 June 2021 Roger Federer has announced his retirement from Roland Garros, where tomorrow he would have to face Matteo Berrettini, number 9 in the world and on the scoreboard, in the round of 16, who therefore reaches the quarterfinals directly.



The Swiss champion has explained that he does not want to speed up the road to recovery after a year of stoppage and two knee surgeries, also in view of Wimbledon.



Tomorrow the other two Azzurri still in the round of 16 will be on the field, Musetti will face Djokovic, while Sinner will challenge Nadal.
