During a meeting at the Saint-Raphaël convention center, Christian Jacob wanted to turn the page on the quarrels arising from the support of the presidential majority for Renaud Muselier.
"It's Renaud Muselier and no one else"
“We suffered some uproar,” conceded Christian Jacob.
"We had a point of disagreement on the composition of the lists, but today, there is one who has the legitimacy to carry his list, it is Renaud Muselier and no one else", insisted the boss of the Republicans, calling for "to overcome this disagreement to be able to win this election, because the essential is at stake".
Without returning to the psychodrama born of his discussions with LREM, Renaud Muselier repeated that in politics "we must always add up, we must not fight, we must find consensus, a compromise solution".
And it is “because he did not know how to add” that LR finally lost Marseille in June 2020, to the benefit of the left-wing union list of Printemps Marseillais, he warned.
“But that's not why, at 62, I'm going to bow to my convictions, reassured Renaud Muselier.
