In the Great Meeting Europe 1 / Les Echos / CNews, Bruno Le Maire severely criticized the proposals of the National Rally, and dismissed the opposition critics who see in Emmanuel Macron and his majority a fuel pushing Marine Le Pen in polls.

"The powerful rise of the RN does not date from Emmanuel Macron", assures the Minister of the Economy.

INTERVIEW

While all the polls place Marine Le Pen in the second round of the next presidential election, with a score in progress compared to that of 2017, Emmanuel Macron and his majority bear a responsibility in this rise in power of the National Gathering? No, ensures Bruno Le Maire on Europe 1. Invited Sunday of the Great meeting Europe 1 / Les Echos / CNews, the Minister of the Economy recalls that "the powerful rise of the RN does not date from Emmanuel Macron", and violently charges the party founded by Jean-Marie Le Pen .

"The RN does not need other fuels than our renouncements, the ambiguities of each other, and the concerns of the French", estimates Bruno Le Maire, for whom the responsibility "goes back much further" than the accession to the Elysee Palace of the former adviser to François Hollande.

"Emmanuel Macron beat Marine Le Pen in the second round, so if there is one who put a stop to the progression, it is Emmanuel Macron".

"The party of shrinking and capitulation"

"We show no ambiguity in the categorical refusal vis-à-vis the RN," continues Bruno Le Maire, criticizing the unrealism of the economic proposals of the far-right party.

"What Marine Le Pen is proposing will ruin France very quickly."

For Bruno Le Maire, placing the RN at the center of the debate is a mistake.

"It's a small party (...) it's not much," he sweeps away.

"He has no great personalities, no great project".

And to conclude: "The RN is the party of shrinking and capitulation".
