At the end of 2020, the US Congress approved a proposal, which was to compile and analyze all information on "unidentified phenomena in the air" that are scattered among various authorities.
Earlier, the Pentagon also officially confirmed that three clips showing unidentified flying objects were genuine - and that "the phenomenon observed in the videos is still unidentified".
Sometime in June, the information will be presented in a report.

The psychologist Björn Hedensjö sees similarities between the UFO report and the Palme Inquiry's Skandiamannen message.
- Just look at the community around the Palme murder, and the huge Facebook groups where it was discussed.
And then there is an answer that is not so exciting - and then it gets sad.
A good conspiracy must contain a lot of question marks, he says.

- To gather around conspiracy theories, where the search can probably be an end in itself, it can be meaning-creating, you create a community.
