"By the decision of the heads of the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at the interregional and regional levels, traffic police officers who carry out covert traffic supervision using a patrol car without a special color scheme may not wear uniforms," TASS cites the text of the draft order.
It is noted that during the implementation of covert supervision, the traffic police officers are not required to be in uniform, but in this case they will not be able to stop the car and draw up reports of the offense, but must transfer information to other squads.
In April, almost 4.3 million traffic violations were detected in Moscow using cameras since the beginning of 2021.
