A three-year-old labradoodle named Evita is being trained as a teacher dog together with her mother Christel Lindqvist.

Right now they are doing their internship at Alléskolan in Habo.

Reading, playing and supporting the children is now everyday for Evita.

- Evita is very sensitive and good at sensing different types of people and their needs, she does not judge anyone in advance.

I think more people would feel good to have a dog in the teaching, says the special teacher and Evita's mother Christel Lindqvist.

Elias Jerkros is nine years old and is in third grade at Alléskolan.

He is one of the students who receives support from Evita in the teaching, something he enjoys very much.

- It's fun to have a small dog to read to and do tricks with, school becomes more fun, says Elias Jerkros.

Notice the students' commitment

Annika Lundberg works as a social educator at the school and usually accompanies the students to a lesson at Evita.

She has noticed that students want to learn more and make an effort in a different way than when they have lessons without Evita.

- There have been fantastic reactions from the students I have been with here.

For example, a student who does not like to read in ordinary cases, asked after reading a chapter if it could read another for Evita.

She has an absolutely fantastic impact on the students, says Annika Lundberg.
