The alarm came in at 23 o'clock on Saturday night and at 06 o'clock the school is still burning.

The site is cordoned off by police and several rescue units are on site.

- Part of the roof has collapsed, says Nora Fällman, RLC officer at the police.

17 units on site during the night

The rescue service has been in the Skurholmen area in Luleå all night.

At most 17 units have worked with the fire, which ravaged open flames in the roof and attic construction.

- We have gained control now during the last hour.

We will have resources left in place throughout the morning.

It is difficult to estimate how damaged the building is, says the rescue service's internal commander Adam Dahlberg.

Preparing technical examination
