President Moon Jae-in visited the mortuary of a noncommissioned officer who took his own life as a result of sexual harassment by the Air Force and comforted the bereaved family.
After the memorial service on Memorial Day, President Moon visited the incense place at the Armed Forces Capital Hospital in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
Earlier, at the memorial service on Memorial Day, President Moon said, "I apologize to the people," referring to the problem of poor military service and the abuse of barracks culture.
The 'barracks culture raid' refers to the death of a non-commissioned officer of the Air Force for sexual harassment, and as the commander-in-chief of the military, he actually apologized.
President Moon also expressed his strong will, saying, "I will make sure to make corrections for the human rights of military personnel and national security."
