Netherlands reopens cultural venues in further easing of restrictions

Cinemas, museums, theaters and restaurants reopened their doors in the Netherlands today, in more moves towards a return to normal life since the start of the Corona pandemic.

Local media said the easing of restrictions was greeted with enthusiasm by residents.

Many restaurants, where people may now eat again, have been fully booked, and tickets have been sold in other places, while the numbers of visitors and customers are still limited.

Sports venues have also reopened, and outdoor dining and drinking hours have been extended to 10 pm.
