It's hard to imagine the Simpsons without Moe's bar, the guys from Friends without their Central Perk, or Ted Mosby, from How I Met Your Mother, not being able to meet his people at MacLaren's.

As in series and movies, some of the most important moments in our lives happen or are told in a bar.

And it is no coincidence.

Even less in our country, where the bar is for us much more than a place to have a drink.

This is reflected in a study promoted by Cervezas Ambar, where more than 80% of Spaniards affirm that the bar is, above all, a place of celebration and meeting with family and friends.

Only 19.2% of those surveyed see it as a gastronomic space.

And no wonder.

This is just one of the conclusions of the study, framed in the campaign Everything good ends in a bar.

An initiative that claims the importance and role of bars for Spaniards.

The conclusions of the study can well be summarized in five keys that make something very clear: ours with the bar is a love story for life.

In this country, the country with the most bars per inhabitant in the world (one for every 175, according to recent data from the National Institute of Statistics) and which asked UNESCO to make them a World Heritage Site, the question is obliged: how much have we thrown them less?

Life without bars would not be the same.

In fact, more than half the population believes that life without them would be sadder.

What's more, for almost four out of every ten Spaniards surveyed, it would be a year without being able to go to bars.

After traveling, the next thing that would cost us the most to give up would be to have a drink in a bar.

We have missed them so much, so much.

It seems obvious.

But more than half of the Spaniards (55.8%) affirm that the bar was the service they missed the most during confinement.

More than the cinema (43.3%) or the gym (17.5%).

Perhaps it is because, both going out to see a movie and after a good workout, the bar is the next destination to comment on the plot or regain strength.

The reeds, better in person.

Neither squats, nor shopping, nor work: more than half of the citizens (52.7%) are clear that what cannot be digitized are the canes with friends (and look, we have tried).

That toasting through Zoom is not the same.

The bar is for us much more than "tapas and cañas"

Men G already said it in one of their songs: in this bar we are all real friends.

And it is that for more than 80% what they know best about bars is meeting the people you love, even above tapas and beers.

Whatever happens, they will continue to be part of our way of seeing life.

Although today almost 75% admit to going less than before, 8 out of 10 Spaniards intend to go to bars the same or more as soon as we return to normality.

We will continue approaching the bar to order two bottles, one without, one clear with lemon ... or the third that is third, there is nothing written about tastes.

The important thing is that, whatever happens, we want everything good to continue ending in BAR.
